Screening

Advanced computing hardware is a controlled item. Before a quotation we check the counterparty, its owners and its ultimate parent company against public sanctions and restricted-party lists, and we record the result with the transaction file. We cannot trade without this check, and we cannot delete a screening record while the statutory retention period runs.

Who receives data

Escrow agents and notaries; carriers, forwarders and insurers involved in a shipment; providers of screening data; our accountants and lawyers; the hosting and form provider named below. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Processors and transfers outside the EU

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States), which also receives form submissions and forwards them to our mailbox. Our email is hosted by Hostinger. Transfers to processors outside the EU rest on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Where a shipment goes outside the EU, contract and customs documents containing contact details are transferred to the parties named in them.

How long we keep it

RecordPeriod
Enquiry that does not lead to a contract24 months from the last message
Invitation request that is declined12 months
Screening records for a transaction5 years from completion, or longer where export-control law requires it
Contracts, invoices and shipment documentsThe statutory period under the tax and commercial law applicable to the contracting entity
Hosting server logsAs set by the hosting provider, typically weeks rather than months

Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, for correction of it, for erasure, for restriction of processing, for portability, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to ; we answer within one month. Where a statutory retention or screening obligation applies, we will say so instead of deleting.

You may also complain to a data-protection supervisory authority — in the member state where you live or work, or where the contracting entity has its seat.

What we do not do

No analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, no profiling, and no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22. Providing data is voluntary, but without it we cannot answer an enquiry or complete a screening.

Changes

This notice was last revised on 3 September 2026. We will publish a revised version here if our processing changes.

Terms

Terms of business

These terms apply to enquiries, quotations and sales handled under the trading name GLO Corp, unless a signed purchase agreement says otherwise. Where they conflict with a signed agreement, the agreement prevails.

1. Listings and quotations

Listings on this site are information, not offers. A quotation is an offer only for the configuration, quantity and period stated on it, and it lapses when that period ends. A sale is concluded when both parties sign a written purchase agreement.

2. Screening and export control

Every transaction is subject to counterparty screening and, where applicable, to export licensing. We may decline or suspend a transaction on compliance grounds at any point before delivery, without liability beyond returning money already received. The buyer confirms the end user and the end use, and undertakes not to re-export in breach of EU or US export controls.

3. Condition and warranty

Goods are sold in the condition grade stated in the listing and confirmed in the agreement. Manufacturer warranties do not pass with second-hand equipment unless the manufacturer confirms it in writing; we do not represent that they do. Any warranty we give is stated in the purchase agreement, with its own period and remedy. Descriptions of origin, including origin in an insolvency estate, are given as we hold them and are not a warranty of the manufacturer’s records.

4. Inspection

The buyer may inspect at the storage location within the window and scope set in the agreement. Inspection results are recorded in a protocol signed by both parties. The protocol, not later testing at the buyer’s site, is the point at which the goods are accepted, unless the agreement provides a separate acceptance stage.

5. Settlement

Settlement is through notarial escrow or an escrow agent both parties accept, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Funds are released against the signed inspection protocol. We do not settle in cash and we do not release goods against payment promised after testing.

6. Delivery, risk and title

Delivery terms follow the Incoterms named in the agreement. Transport is insured for the invoiced value. Title passes on full payment; risk passes as the named Incoterms provide. Import duties and formalities in the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility.

7. Liability

Our liability is limited to the invoiced value of the goods concerned, except where liability cannot be limited by law — including intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of use, or costs arising from a buyer’s own project schedule.

8. Force majeure

Neither party is in breach for delay caused by events outside its control, including export-licence decisions, customs holds, carrier failure and industrial action. Obligations resume when the event ends; a party may terminate if it lasts longer than the period stated in the agreement.

9. Confidentiality

Serial lists, acquisition documentation, photographs and prices are confidential and are released under a non-disclosure agreement. Each party keeps the other’s confidential information for the period stated in that agreement.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

Governing law and place of jurisdiction are agreed in each purchase agreement and stated in it. For enquiries and quotations that do not lead to a contract, the law at the seat of the contracting entity applies. We do not accept a buyer’s standard purchase conditions unless we confirm them in writing.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or images. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

One item is written to your browser’s local storage: glo-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or the dark theme. It stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and is not used to recognise or track you. Clearing site data removes it; the site then follows your operating-system setting.

Form submissions are handled by the hosting provider and forwarded to our mailbox; see the privacy notice above.
